b kinder council is an annual initiative that builds positive pathways through kindness, empathy, compassion and belonging. It enables the council to role model and lead through kindness, helping to build stronger and more resilient local communities.
This initiative encourages council staff to cultivate essential relationship skills while connecting with their local schools and communities. The 5 kindness initiatives empower and inspire council staff to weave a tapestry of positivity, kindness and compassion that blankets their workspace and their entire community. Becoming a b kinder council signifies a proactive approach and councils can exemplify and craft a blueprint for a kinder world that has a substantial impact on the wellbeing of their communities.
Below please find the five key kindness initiatives that serve as criteria for application:
1. Annual subscription: $1500 which includes the following:
3. Annual support of b kinder schools: $595 each (minimum of 3 primary schools, however this may be less depending on how many schools in the area).

Below please find the five key kindness initiatives that serve as criteria for application:
- Participate in our annual b kinder day on 22nd June (or a date that suits you). This can be an event within the council or expanded to include local communities.
- Establish a designated "Kindness space" within the council. This can also incorporate a kindness commitment statement.
- Recognise kindness among council staff, or local businesses. This could include an employee/business kindness award weekly or monthly.
- Participate in one annual online kindness/compassion workshop. This could be for council staff or extended to include some of the community (max 100 person).
- Support and enable local primary schools to become b kinder schools. (We suggest a minimum of 3 schools but you may want to include all the schools in your area).

- 10 b kinder ambassador badges
- 100 b kinder day cards
- 5 b kinder day posters
- 50 biodegradable b kinder day balloons
