ABOUT

flyhighbillie/b kinder foundation

flyhighbillie/b kinder foundation™ is a registered charity with DGR status. flyhighbillie/b kinder foundation’s purpose is to promote kindness, empathy and compassion in children and young people to reduce mental health issues, bullying and suicide.

flyhighbillie/b kinder foundation™ was set up after 12 year old Billie Kinder died in a tragic horse accident. Billie was known for her kindness, compassion and empathy. Billie's mum Danny, dad Dave and older sister Charlie wanted to spread Billie's incredible way of being. Billie had just been awarded an academic scholarship to high school based on her amazing writing ability. Billie’s poems, stories and empowering messages aim to build resilience and confidence in children. With a play on Billie’s initial and surname flyhighbillie/b kinder foundation launched the “b kinder initiative”.

The b kinder ™ initiative empowers and inspires children and enables them to see that they each have the capacity to make a difference in the world through kindness.

The b kinder resources aim to prevent and change the current alarming statistics on mental health issues, bullying and suicide through positive, unique, interactive and tangible kindness resources. The b kinder resources have been designed with the help of psychologists, education consultants and teachers and are initiating conversations around kindness, empathy and compassion.

Through early intervention, flyhighbillie/b kinder foundation is having a huge positive impact on young people’s lives. The b kinder workbooks not only educate students but inspires them to take action and use their voices for good. The workbooks help educators to embed the explicit teachings of wellbeing and offers learning activities that provoke students to ask questions, to ponder and explore and to see things from another’s perspective. They empower children with a tool set of skills and strategies to help them develop an enriched sense of wellbeing, belonging and self-esteem.
